AFNS (Armed Force Nursing) is a regular permanent commission that is offered by Pakistan Army every year for females. This course offered to those females who want to join Pak Army as a Nursing Officer.

AFNS Online Registration 2020

Candidates can apply online and offline for Armed Force Nursing Service (AFNS). To apply online visit 72 hours of registration, AS&RC publish your test date & time. Till that, your registration will be in pending status.

To apply offline you can visit your nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC). Bring your all original documents along with photocopies when coming to AS&RC.

Documents Required At Army Selection Centre

These documents required at Army centre. If you have an issue regarding any document. One-week relaxation given to you or they will allow you to sit in the test. (totally depend on AS&RC). 

Bring these documents when visiting AS&RC.
  • Original documents & 2 attested copies of each document.
  • 3 recently pictures of yours.
  • A crossed postal order of Rs. 100/- in favour of Director General Personnel.
  • Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi.
  • Rs. 300 required to buy prospectus. (It is compulsory).
  • Old CNIC will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria For AFNS (Armed Force Nursing Service)

  • FSc (Pre-medical) 50% Marks

Trained Nurse as Lieutenant
  • Nursing Diploma and Midwifery
  • BSc Generic Nursing
  • Post (RN) BSc Nursing
 18-28 Years

  • Hope Certificate:  The candidates who are studying in FSC(Pre-Medical) Part 2 and have 50% in Part 1 are also eligible to apply on hope certificate.
  • The minimum required height is 5 feet.
  • BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It is a table that gives you an idea about your excepted weight & height according to your Age. Calculate your height & weight from here. (I am the link).

  • The academic portion will be from Biology, Chemistry, English, Physics.
  • The given time limit may vary from the actual one.
  • Candidate must have a basic knowledge of computers. Test conduct on computers.

Selection, Training & Rank

After FSC: 4 x years Training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi, CMH Lahore, CMH Kharian, CMH Multan, CMH Quetta, and PNS Shifa Karachi.

Trained Nurses: 4 x weeks of Basic Military Training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi. The female cadets will be awarded by the rank of second lieutenant.

After training, AFNS cadets will be awarded by the rank of lieutenant. Finally selected (After ISSB recommendation & final merit list) candidates have to sign a bond to serve the army for a minimum of 10 years.

The final interview is held at Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi by GHQ Board. For interviews, a separate interview letter issued your given postal address.
